Chile and the problem about voting

I think that when we talk about voting and democracy, we used to think that is something important. However, it is fundamental to talk about the population in Chile that doesn´t want to vote.

It is a constant topic the low confidence in the political authorities. We all know severeals cases of corruption and robeberies. This is the first reason why chilean people don´t vote. We are used to think that we don´t need to worry about who is in charge because anyone will do the same things in politics. Thats the problem.

I think that we need to stop blaming people for not wanting to vote and start pushing the judicial systems against this type of crime. I know, it is sound difficult even imposible, but we need to try it.

In addition, it is important to talk about civic education. We need a good education for this kind of themes if we want people who want to vote.

We are in a historic moment. For the vote about change the constitution, a lot of people went to vote because after all the social manifestations, a lot of people whas feeling like real changes could happend. Here we are! But we need to continue voting and participating in social moviments if we want more changes.
