Sex Education

Hi everyone! I hope y'all doing great!

Today i will be talking about sex education. An important topic in our lifes.

Lately, we all been talking about sex education for a lot of series, movies, books and news about this theme. However, in Chile, we are not  normaly used to talk about this topic with parents, teachers and other people.

This is the problem. I grew up in a school where we didin´t have a lot of sex aducation. It was very normal to separate girls and boys to talk about sex education, so the girls can talk about menstruation and pregnancy and the boys can talk about "manly" contraceptive methods. I always thought this was a really bad idea. We were like 13 years old, we were very curious about our sexuallity and separate us about our gender it was just going to make a lot of little kids searching the questions in google en learning some not really good things about sexuality.

I always thought that sex education start form the youngest ages. The 4 year old kids need to know what part of their body are important and that no one can touch it. Yes. is a complicated topic. A lot of people have defferences about what to teach. I get it. But the educational system has to teach about sex education if we want to prevent abuses and teach kids that talk and think about sex is a normal thing.

  2. I fully share your opinion. It is urgent that sex education be part of the compulsory curriculum from an early age, as that would avoid various problems, such as unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, bad practices during sex, the mythification of certain behaviors such as masturbation feminine, among others, which are all consequences of the misinformation about sexuality.

  3. What an important topic, I truly believe that our generation will make a change about the sex education. Mostly because of the social media, all the information that is available makes us wonder why something so normal as sex has been always so "taboo".

  4. It is so true what you say, sex education is important from early childhood, many abuses could be avoided or prevented if there really was a good sex education in this country and the world in general.
